From today’s walk…
We had our first significant snow last night. I woke up in the middle of the night. Our bedroom was filled with a soft dim light. I looked out our window. The landscape was filled with the same light. In the bathroom I could easily see the toilet bowl. Where does it come from?

Tonight’s dinner wine and music… thanks to @toddgrotenhuis for the music recommendation. It takes me back to my Williamsburg Brooklyn days for some strange reason.
Bought these loofahs at least a year ago. The one on the left has been in daily use since I got it. I am now tossing it in the compost and putting the one on the right in service. I use them to clean anything that needs a soft scrubbing. Nonstick pans when I had them, cast iron pans, china. They are incredibly durable and useful.

OMG, this woman’s work is amazing!

Red Snapper smothered in a salt and whipped egg white poultice. Baked in a 450 degree oven for 25-30 minutes. The poultice forms a hard shell around the fish which steams in it’s own juices.

Making New Orleans Red Beans with Rice smells delicious!

Spent the first hour of my morning listening, just listening, to this beautiful choral music. I thought I should give it the attention I would give a book. What a wonderful way to start my day.
