as the pain in my right shoulder presses me to migrate to analog methods for things i used to do on the iPhone, i am discovering that analog process is better for some (many?) things… the most recent is food and calorie recording… i note what i eat on 3x5 cards now… i have completely tracked my calories for three days… something i struggled to do with my chosen app… i use the app to look up calories of some foods, but i write the info down on the card and add it up at the end of the day… not coincidently, my weight is on a downward trend this week…

i have been moving to analog on a number of fronts, largely because of physical discomfort in my dominant arm/shoulder… persistent intestinal discomfort has led me, i realize, to another analog shift… instead of probiotics through pills, which were literally making me sick… i have decided to get probiotics through food, as humans have been doing for centuries… kimchi, sauerkraut, kombucha, live culture cottage cheese, yogurt, kefir, and other probiotic foods are now part of my daily diet… the improvement in my intestinal comfort and health has been quick and amazing…
