my mother, who claims she doesn’t understand my desire/need to present femininely, seems to enjoy having a more traditionally feminine presence in one of her children… “feminine mystique” is not my sister’s bag… it is my bag… mom and i shared fashion magazines and clothing catalogs… she wanted to get her nails done with me, but the salon i wanted to go to wasn’t open… i love this new relationship with my mother…
